It's one of the blessings of old friends

That you can afford to be stupid with them.

~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Marilyn was a close friend who fought a long and courageous battle against lung cancer. She left us at the early age of 75 on July 31, 2018. Marilyn was born in Brigham City and spent her last years in the nearby city of Perry. Marilyn loved animals, gardening, and bird watching - she spent time volunteering for the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge.

Marilyn was a life-long member of the Sigma Zonk Fratority and was one of just a few members that attended the first Fratority Reunion in Ogden in 1962. I was honored that the family asked me to speak at Marilyn's funeral service. Sigma Zonk was mentioned in her obituary and members of her extended family expressed thanks that I explained what the Fratority was all about and what her membership meant. Many of the Zonks gave her support, both written and personal visits, during her final years, and her children sent this note to the "Sigma Zonk Gang" after the funeral service. Marilyn had a great sense of humor and we will all miss her!
